Oatmeal with Sliced Banana and Cinnamon

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup water or milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 banana, sliced

Meal Procedure

  1. In a saucepan, combine the oats, water or milk, and cinnamon.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the oats reach desired consistency (creamy or slightly al dente).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the sliced banana.
  4. Add a pinch of salt to taste, if desired.
  5. Enjoy warm, topped with your favorite additional ingredients like nuts, seeds, or dried fruit.
